Anna Brandon
Apr 20, 1853 - Mar 28, 1854
Three years after losing their son, Charlotte and Gerald had another child - a daughter they named Anna. Their joy, however, was short-lived as little Anna was not long for this world...she died a little less than a month short of her first birthday.
Anna was born the year construction began on Brandon Hall, and died the next year. The Hall was not completed until 1856.
I have not been able to find out exactly what happened to Anna, but have a feeling the yellow fever and cholera epidemic of 1853-1855 might have been to blame.
