Words have enormous power. They can hurt just as easily as they can heal.
This page focuses on words and their impact on our self-image. The media uses words to sell their products by convincing us that we need them to appear perfect and beautiful. You can use words just as effectively to turn around negative self-thoughts into affirmative self-love.
Interested to see what was stronger - how people like or dislike themselves - I decided to create this game. I was curious to see how people would respond when asked to pick a good and bad word to describe their physical bodies.
Use two words (one negative and one positive) to describe how you feel about your physical body.
er
Being "big" or "different looking ", or even seemingly "ill-proportioned" or "unseemly" should not be considered a negative thing. Take a look at these words that are the antithesis of "waifish" and "uncomely" yet are beautiful words nonetheless.
Instead of calling yourself "fat" or "ugly" - use one of these much more beautiful - and descriptive - words. Positive self- and body-image starts with ending negative thoughts about yourself.
I'm not fat, I'm...
Voluptuous | Buxom | Robust | Juicy | Curvaceous | Zaftig | Plump | Well-Built | Full-Figured | Comely | Well-Proportioned | Ample | Statuesque | Natural | Junoesque | Succulent | Lush | Shapely | Satifying | Pleasing | Delightful
I'm not ugly, I'm...
Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Attractive | Comely | Good-Looking | Lovely | Incomparable | Pleasing | Enticing | Fair | Bewitching | Enchanting | Appealing | Ravishing | Alluring | Ambrosial | Divine | Perfect | Unequaled
